Spiritual advancement and development can basically take place in two different ways:
1. Within and during one physical incarnation consciously and intensely working toward God-Union oneness with Supreme Being. This conscious and direct spiritual advancement is done by evolving divine passion in all situations of living. The practice of Kriya Yoga will ease and substantially speed up that inner purification and uplift of our vibration.
2. Acting step by step on your spiritual growing during many incarnations , moving step by step up into higher celestial spheres of vibration until you finally reach God-Union and thus God-Realization. This is the common way for most who follow the path of fussy life . Fighting in life and forced by self created karma through a series of more or less painful situations until options of loving results become more and more usual reactions and activities in living.
The law of karma is the guide for all subconscious learning and spiritual progress.
The law of karma says: Whatever you do to others shall be experienced by you. Based on experiences, a good number of of human race learns through steps of trial and error . The conscious God seeker prefers to directly search for and employ solutions of Love .
First have a look at the second one. Incarnation by incarnation proceeding upward with your vibration toward God-Realization. This means working your self out of the cycle of physical reincarnation, astral reincarnation, causal reincarnation, arriving at soul-realization and in the end God-Realization.
In between the physical dimension of being and soul-realization there are hundreds of different spheres to pass through. This is a very common way of progressing guided by the law of karma until you learn to directly follow your heart and guidance from God available to all human race . It means that you may last a conventional non-spiritual living without any efforts to spiritually learn. The divine creation is made a certain way that keeps people acquiring without realising it. Subconscious learning. We act without thinking how, have a certain outcome and compare and contrast result with other outcomes from different self made actions .
The grace and clemency of the Creator is of such loving nature that everything we live and endure through leads to an effective learning process of our Divine Being. Meaning that over the course of numerous embodiments we continuously learn and spiritually progress , sometimes during the course of dozens or hundreds of incarnations , until we ultimately find ourselves involved in a conscious search of the Divine, thus beginning to accelerate our endeavours to progress faster and faster. Our soul starves for the Love of our heavenly Father God, our cosmic eternal lover and we suddenly and willingly drop anything that could ever have divided us from becoming one with our beloved origin of Love.
As we drop progressively behaviors, desires and wishes that might have caused us to stay away from our beloved one, we come closer and closer, starting to perceive - first behind the dust of ignorance - small brilliant sprinkles of the Divine Love surrounding us all the time. As we get roughly our source, we perceive increasingly precisely the loving truth of God and ourselves as his Divine Children and our efforts supported by our ever increasing enlightenment of our consciousness and awareness of his almighty Love, this Divine Love is acting like an infinite magnetic power the closer we get to God. All we need to do, is just drop increasingly of what ever was separating us from him and he, the Divine will carry us back to our Divine Home on his vibration of Divine Love. We may easily fly on our wings of Love - on our way to God. The more we concentrate on Supreme Being and his Divine Love, the more of his Divine vibration of Love is entering our being. Devotion of life and daily work to learn to love like Supreme Being is the physiology of Kriya Yoga. To focus on God love and utilize God love inside all expressions of our being in all situations of life .
The way of conscious direct learning to love is the modern and smart route to advance without going through any pain or discomfort at all . Supreme Being is love, thus God always extends resolutions of love to directly end the cycle of rebirth and return home straight away . Love in all situations is the key to oneness with Supreme Being, to God union.
