Here is a very simple tip but sanity saving tip for you brides planning your wedding: (and especially to those brides having a budget and needing to plan a wedding on a budget).

Planning a wedding has so many details, working with many vendors and many facets. Thoughts will race around your head like there's no tomorrow.

For my important tip:

Introducing the swap space notebook!!

This last one is something I picked up from a computer friend. This is something he does to keep himself organized.

He explains it this way:

Computers do not work on more than one task. All tasks waiting to be worked on are basically put in another room called "swap space" (out of sight, out of mind I guess). The current task is loaded into memory while the rest wait in line in "swap space". A computer will switch tasks out between the "swap space" and real memory. The reason it looks like a computer can work on many tasks at one time is because computers are super efficient at this task switching.

Again: Computers are super efficient at this task switching!

Have you ever said out loud something like:

"Oh! Oh! I know this song! It's .. it's by that band..from Europe..the two guys..it will come to me..AGH!"

Yes, humans are not efficient at this task switching.

AGAIN: Humans are not efficient at this task switching!

It is quite difficult for us to switch our tasks in and out of "subconscious" and "conscious" memory.

So this is what your swap space notebook is for. For planning your wedding and staying organized and effective budget wedding planning by jotting down EVERYTHING that you think might be important.

The train of thought that goes through your head is a bullet train going from facet to facet when you plan your wedding. That's why you need to do this:

Buy one of those little small spiral notebooks. It is small and folds up nicely in a purse or large wallet.

Take your notebook EVERYWHERE! And a pen! Anytime you have something you need to remember jot it down. When you recall songs you DO NOT want played at your wedding by your DJ, JOT IT DOWN. When you see a type of flower you like, JOT IT DOWN! The idea is to not spend any time on this task. Empty it out of your head so you don't have to think about it.

At any time you can flip back to your notebook. It may not be in order, but you have the security knowing it's in there somewhere so you can freely forget about it and not worry about it.

REMEMBER THIS IS CRUCIAL: For all you wedding planners AND wedding planners needing to reduce costs

There are so many factors and details, and a budget adds double to that. The swap space notebook will keep you sane (and thus happy!)

Good luck and congratulations! Now go plan that inexpensive wedding that will be your dream wedding!
