Each of us are unique in our own way. This is what makes one interesting to another. Imagine if we are all the same, then Life would be like eating a sugarless cake or a spiceless jalapeno. What may appeal to you may not appeal to another. What attracts you to another person is the fact that you share enough commonalities to make your life together a happy and exciting one. It is your own uniqueness that makes the relationship worthwhile – discovering your differences and reaching a compromise.
Some of us are attracted to sweet, passing things while others like to keep tokens to signify the memorable events in life. I bet, no one will disagree if I say that your marriage should be a memorable one. The way you exchanged and celebrated your vows of love and fidelity may soon be forgotten by your guests, but not you. Who would? You waited almost a lifetime to find the perfect person to complement you. So in your choice of wedding favors, it is best that both of you should take time to look into it.
Couples are sometimes so involved in the major details of their wedding that they sometimes brush aside the importance of their wedding favors. Don't you want a wedding favor that will tell something about you, about how the two of you came to be? Most probably you have attended many a wedding receptions and the wedding favors given away ranged from miniature versions of the wedding cake, bride and groom figurines to miniature ceramics imprinted with the couple's name and date of the event. Of course, it is always easy to decide on what was included in the wedding reception package, but hey, don't you want something different?
We meet the love of our life in different and quite unique circumstances. Some met through a coffee shop, some through online dating while others through writing. When did you last received a snail mail? Can't remember? Imagine the effort of a couple who made it through with actually exchanging snail mails! How can such couples take into consideration to make that manifest in their wedding favors? Hmmm.
Have you received some of those promotional pens that marketing and advertising companies give out when they launch new products? Have you ever wondered how much they cost? I tell you, they are inexpensive! I believe discounts are also given if you order by bulk. Why do you think companies almost always have those? Not only because it is a functional item that any person would want (widening the marketing coverage), the cost is reasonable as well. So if you think you cannot have any other wedding favors other than what people are used to seeing during such events, think again!
You made a statement with your choice of partner for life. You made a statement with the way you proposed. Why not live up to the reputation and make a statement on the uniqueness of your wedding favors? It's your wedding, your wedding favors, your choice – stand out!
