The best quality DVD or Blu- Ray movie might not look good if projected on an ordinary screen. So, right projector screen is vital to a good viewing experience. Although there are many varieties available in the market, it is best for oneself to see whether they are suitable for the requisite use or not. Here are some of the options that can be tried out:
Firstly, the white projection screens with a matte finish are the most widely used.. They are good for regular viewing and do not take much maintenance either. They are cheap compared to the others so one can replace them without too much hassle if need be.
Lately, grey projector screens have hit the market. They are scoring over their white counterparts because the grey background provides more contrast then the others and are hence very good for presentations etc where every detail has to be clearly visible for the gathered assembly and often from great distance.
The Video Spectra kind of screen has a reflective coating on it. This enables it to be brighter, thus making the picture visible from a great distance as well. The coating also protects it against mildew and its biggest advantage is that the picture appears bright even in conditions where it is not possible to dim the light of the room or if the projection screen has to be put up on daytime.
Apart from these, there are various other types of projector screens which can be set up. Doing a small market survey before zeroing in on the screen might make the buying easier. And then one can enjoy a lovely viewing experience
