When you talk about a "home" element in your house, you are referring to this specific area in your place where you always feel your best. This is that unique place in the entire house where you seem to spend the most time in. It does not matter what you are doing; you can simply be sitting by yourself enjoying quiet time alone, you can be reading a book or simply drowning in the view. Whatever the homey area in your room may be is up to you. It could be a staircase, a doorway or a small nook that gives a lovely view of the garden. It could be the corridor that is slightly lit in the afternoon light or it could be that bay window area where you can see your backyard. Bay windows perfectly allow natural light to come in, and the way that it is designed allows this perfect comfortable window seat where you can just spend hours seated.

You can probably waste good hours just looking at the outside from your lovely bay window. You can see the tall green trees and the flowers that are in bloom. You just sit there, getting lost in your thoughts, counting clouds atop the skies and birds that chirp on the rooftops. Many artistic creations have been born from inspiration brought about by bay windows; who knows how many songs and poems have been written from a bay window; and how many colourful paintings were brought to life.

The addition of even one set of bay window in the house is able to effectively enhance the interiors of the house because it is able to maximize the light that enters into the house. A bay window area is a great place wherein one can spend a relaxing and enjoyable time. It could be a workplace, a reading nook or even some sort of display area, if you wish to take advantage of the awesome lighting. It usually looks polygonal and it follows the height of the room and sometimes, from the outside, the projection is a great place where potted plants can be placed. A lot of work needs to done when designing a bay window and if you are looking to designing your own one, you probably should consider some of these ideas here:

1. The simplest way to make a bay window is to form a box that starts a little below the head height. This is the most common and the cheapest way to get a bay window.

2. The other method follows the construction of a full bay window that is in the form of a floor-to-ceiling polygon, creating some sort of a nook. This is the most expensive method, but it can destroy the floor plan of your room; despite what is true, constructing a bay window is worth it because the look is truly worth all of it.

3. Make sure to make careful measurements to be able to facilitate perfect construction of the bay window.

4. You can go for a round, trapezoidal or square-shaped windows; and make sure to pick colors that should blend well with the overall look of the house.

5. If you live in an area that expects a lot of strong winds, you need to create your bay window using reinforced glass.

6. You can add some kind of tint to shade the room from the bright rays of the sun. This will give the room some kind of dramatic effect.

7. Consider the use of materials very well. Aluminium will give it more durability, PVC and fibreglass will allow some colour and make it almost maintenance-free.
