Most people tend to overlook the importance of carrying a first aid kit in their car. You never plan for an emergency to happen but you should always be prepared for one. You also always want to keep a few peppermint candies either in your glove box or in your first aid kit for anyone diabetic that has had an accident, as their blood sugar can be affected drastically after trauma.
A first aid kit in your car is not only for accidents either. Perhaps you are at the beach and step on glass that someone carelessly left in the sand, with your bare feet or maybe you went running, rollerblading or cycling at the park, fell and skinned your knee. Also if you have children then you know that they can obtain an injury just about anywhere you go, especially at the park. Children running, playing, swings and jungle gyms are always an invitation for injury. A first aid kit in your car is important to have for any minor injuries as well to clean a wound and prevent infection.
A quality first aid will help with small cuts and scrapes as well as severe injuries. Having a kit in your car could potentially save someone's life; that life could be yours.
