Backpacking is great fun, and allows you to tailor make your own holiday from scratch. One very popular destination is France, because of the range of activities available there. It has a great history around it, so the museums and art galleries attract those who like the educational and cultural side of holidays, and those who wish to learn more when they go on one. It also has some spectacular views, both in the countryside and in the cities, which appeal to those of an aesthetic nature. Another very common reason for people to go to France is because of the food and the drink. Nobody can deny that the food and the drink are amazing, and to backpack around France following the good food and drink sites would be a great past time for anyone’s holiday. There are many different routes to take around the country, and many different things to do whilst there. Accommodation ranges from simple tents to luxury hotels, so no matter what your budget there will be a possibility of somewhere to stay whilst you are there. Transport is fairly cheap, with some plane tickets starting from £1, and travel in country possible to do for similar prices. More and more people are now doing it, and so in the summer of this year, flights could be jam packed with people going on backpacking holidays.

One option that is particularly appealing to backpackers is to backpack around France, finding places to catch and cook your own fish. There are many places to go that allow the opportunity to fish, and fresh fish cooked on a barbeque is a great treat. This is a particularly good money saving option, as you don’t have to pay expensive bills at restaurants as everything is being done by you.

Backpacking allows a lot of flexibility in travel and accommodation, and that is one of the main reasons that it is so popular. It is possible to completely custom design a holiday to suit your every wish, and many more people come away from backpacking holidays feeling fulfilled and pleased with their choice than people who go on package tours. However, things do sometimes go wrong, and in those situations you need insurance to fall back on. It is quite easy to lose a wallet, or mobile phone, or any number of other things. If you didn’t have travel insurance, then these things wouldn’t be covered and you wouldn’t be able to get them replace for the relatively small amount of money that it takes with insurance. However, with travel insurance, there is normally cover for lost possessions, and for personal accident as well – hugely important if taking on risky activities. It is highly recommended by all the television programmes about money and travel websites and magazines that you buy travel insurance if going away, as it could save you a huge amount of money in the long term. In some areas the hospital won’t even consider looking at you, no matter how bad the injury, unless you have insurance, so it is worth it even if you never use it. If you don’t then at least you had the safety net of it being there if you needed.

Author Resource:- If you have been saving up to go abroad in your gap year, you do not want to have to pay a fortune for backpackers travel insurance. etravelinsurance.co.uk offer special rates to provide cheap insurance to protect you and your valuables while you are away.
